The Spring Festival is back!
Habit is sometimes good: like every year in spring, the Chinon en Jazz festival returns to the medieval city. This year it is from June 31 to 2.
This jazz festival in Rabelaisian land is the first of the Touraine Loire Valley festivals. It is also supported by the Departmental Council of Indre-et-Loire, as well as by the city of Chinon, but also by Le Petit Faucheux, an emblematic music hall of Tours for music in general and for jazz in particular
Programme is faithful to its principles
The Chinon en Jazz Festival 2024 will be faithful to its founding principles.
As always, the program will be eclectic with renowned artists (like Camille Berthault) and others in the making, with solo musicians or “bands” and even brass bands, and above all a program that explores many facets of jazz, and which still makes it a living and thriving musical style today.
Furthermore, as usual, the 2024 festival will take place in a whole series of different historical places, such as the Rabelais museum in La Devinière, the royal fortress, the St Mexme collegiate church, but also the Le Rabelais cinema and even the streets and city center squares.
The cherry on the cake, and an important feature to note: this festival is free!
